In a digital world where users access multiple applications on a daily basis, SSO flows are a common solution to streamline and secure the sign-in experiences of SaaS applications.  In this session, we will talk about and show how to set up SSO, as well as the pros and cons of using JWTs to extend user details.

About this event

Interested or curious in SSO and the different ways you can integrate access across your apps?

In this session our guest speaker Valter Cachinhama [Software Developer at CGI UK Limited] will look at how to create single sign-on solutions for users to access multiple applications, as well as the most common strategies used.

SSO flows are a common solution to streamline and secure the sign-in experiences of SaaS applications. Open ID and OAuth 2.0 are commonly used to support both user authentication and access authorization to APIs. We will be discussing and demonstrating how SSO flows are implemented and looking at the benefits and challenges encountered when we extend user details in JSON Web Tokens (JWTs).

After the usual Q&A, we will share experiences of SSO, focussing on questions such as:

- Which SSO would you use in your applications ?

- How would you best integrate IDP; though OutSystems Users, Microsoft Connector, or another?

- What are the pros and cons encountered in current SSO solutions?

- What difficulties did the audience encounter integrating SSO solutions?

We will conclude networking over a few drinks, food and swag Kits!
