After a great session in OSDC, Helena Lameiro once again takes the stage to speak about cache. This time, with enough time for a demo and a Q&A.
About this event
In this session, we’ll explore the various approaches to caching data in an OutSystems application—from the basic concepts of caching, to situations when you should or shouldn’t cache data.
We’ll also discuss how to use the built-in cache mechanism in OutSystems, including how it works, how to implement it, and some considerations for best practices.
For mobile apps and reactive web applications, we’ll cover caching data client-side using IndexedDB, as well as additional server-side caching resources.

I started my journey as a pharmacist, doing everything a pharmacist can do, from counter to R&D, knowing the real meaning of blue and red pills.
So, I should have known that mixing numerical data with hard logical reasoning could lead to serious addiction. And there was me...
I started to trip with advanced excel sheets (for everything you could ever imagine).
I began my journey in 2004 with my first job at an IT Helpdesk for six years providing technical support. I then decided to refocus my talents in the field of Software Engineering; I started as a BI Consultant and, through that position, advanced my technical knowledge to establish a new career path.
In 2012 things evolved incredibly, I began to develop in OutSystems, and since then I have never stopped. As a developer, I have experience in implementing new projects and maintaining existing ones as a Delivery Manager, ranging in size from small retail stores to massive military and Telecommunications projects.
I'm passionate about what I do, and I'm focused on continuously improving business processes and organizational structures. With the abilities I have gained throughout my career, I'm confident that I can create business value by applying modern concepts and techniques for streamlining business processes.
