Calling all OutSystems Community members. Join this 3 part Forge-athon and learn while building a Forge Component. MVPs and Tech Leads from Australia will take you under their wing and work with you to build a Forge Component with the goal of publishing it for the entire community to use. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn, build, have fun, network, and discover new ways of working in OutSystems.

Event 2: Building your knowledge

Date: Thursday 14 July 2022
Time: 6.00 - 8.00 PM
Location: Online

In this 2 hour online event, Dev Tips built on top of the ideas from the first Forge-athon event will be presented by each team lead to the entire group. You will get a chance to get to know your team better, develop a plan of attack and get ready to build your component at the third in-person Forge-athon event.

There will be a lucky door prize.

Event 3: Forge-athon, the big event!

Date: Thursday 28 July 2022
Time: 6.00 - 9.00 PM
Location: Sydney CBD, in-person event + online

This 3-hour hybrid event will be held in Sydney CBD, a short walk from the train Station. In-person and virtual team members will get together to race the development of their solution in real-time while enjoying pizza + snacks + drinks. Sprint to get your component as complete as possible!

1st Prize: Each member of the winning team will receive a $300 Amazon gift voucher (think of the possibilities) + a cool OutSystems Community Kit.

2nd Prize: Each member of the runner-up team will receive a cool OutSystems Community Kit.

Judging

A week after the event, the judges will announce the winning team. Judges will be independent of the event and will take into account how needed, innovative and complete the winning component is.

The final component

If the component is not completed at the third event, the team can continue to work on it in their own time and upload it to the Forge Library. Each team member will be listed as a creator of their component.
